Good Morning! It will be another rainy Thursday for Starkville and the rain will stick around through the first half of the weekend. The high will be in the lower 70s today and as the warm front pushes through our area, we could see some strong thunderstorms this afternoon. The main threats with these storms are heavy downpours and winds gusting up to 50mph. The rain showers will continue into tonight with a low in the mid 50s. We will see another round of thunderstorms for Friday afternoon with the high in the lower 70s. There is an increased chance for flooding across the region as the rain continues to fall on very saturated soil. The cold front will slowly move eastward late Friday night through midday Saturday. So unfortunately, the rain will linger into Saturday. However, the good news is Sunday will be a beautiful, sunny fall day and this will continue to be the trend for the first part of next week.
The TRICK-OR-TREAT FORECAST Saturday evening:
Cloudy with some light rain showers around the area
Temperature 57F and falling through the night
Sunset at 6:07PM with ghosts, witches and goblins haunting throughout the night
