October 28, 2009 Afternoon Forecast
Plenty of clearing and calm winds, made for a foggy start this morning. Once the dense fog begins to clear, we are in store for yet another gorgeous fall day here in Starkville, with sunny skies and a high temperature of 69 degrees. A more moist and warm air mass ahead of a warm front, will begin to make its way into our area overnight tonight giving us more widespread cloud cover as well as warmer overnight lows into the upper fifties. Our first chance of rain comes Thursday afternoon as we continue to pump in moist air up from the gulf, and our wind flow shifts to out of the southeast. For Thursday alone, we can expect about a quarter of an inch of rain here in Starkville. A cold front comes through late Friday afternoon giving us a second round of stormy weather, with strong thunderstorms and high winds expected into the evening hours. At this point in time looks like the wet weather sticks around for Halloween. Stay connected to CampusConnect for more updates.
