November 11, 2009 - Morning Forecast
A good Veterans Day to everyone out there. Take time to thank all the service men and women who serve our country. We've experienced an unusual start to the week with the presence of Ida. Ida made landfall has a tropical storm and has quickly diminished. In the Starkville area, we saw just a few light showers and gusty winds persist. Conditions have begun to turn around and we'll see pleasant conditions in place for the remainder of the week. Slightly cooler temps expected over the next day or two in the mid to upper 60s with temperatures bouncing back into the 70s by the weekend. A ridge will build into today and stay in place through Thursday. We will see drier conditions as well with sunny skies over the next few days. Temps today should get to the upper 60s today with North winds of up to 20 mph. Tonight, we should get to the mid 40s with a cooler feel. Long term, temps will begin to climb back into the 70s this weekend as return flow will occur.
